Senior Manager, Teamlead (m/f/d) R&D Cable Systems

Join the  NKT team that develops the next advanced technologies for power cables and high-temperature superconductors! You will lead a group of experienced R&D specialists with international connections and several collaboration partners in Germany, Denmark and Sweden. You will participate in the design, manufacturing and testing of customer-tailored solutions in exciting new R&D projects.

You will be responsible for the following aspects: 

Your agenda will include the team management of eight engineers (disciplinary managers, performance appraisal) and developing and qualifying the people in the team. You will participate in the NKT Leadership Pipeline programme and drive university collaborations. You will also be responsible for driving technical content in collaboration with product management, ensuring budget and gate processes are adhered to, and reviewing and calling in project plans and execution. Further key tasks are:

• Supporting problem solving on tenders / projects
• Coordinating and ensuring execution with production, material and HV laboratory
• Ensuring coordination with Accessories R&D
• Continuous improvements and "lessons learned" from previous R&D projects 

To connect a greener world, you should have the following skills and experience:

You have a Master's degree in an engineering profession (electrical engineering or similar) or industrial engineering and have several years of relevant professional experience in a similar position in the R&D of a company in the energy sector. Furthermore, you have leadership experience, preferably with tariff employees, as well as experience in the field of onshore and DC. Experience in accessories and testing is desirable. Further important qualifications are:

• Ability to work in a team, communication skills and assertiveness
• Analytical and pragmatic way of thinking
• Microsoft Office, SAP knowledge as well as FEM knowledge is necessary
• Fluent in English and German
